WHO WE ARE
Final Hope is a recognized 501(c)3 non-profit organization that strives to provide help to abandoned, neglected, and sick cats.
At the heart of our organization is a mission to give temporary shelter, socialization, medical care, and of course unconditional LOVE, to homeless animals until we can place them in loving and secure FOREVER homes. With countless feral cat colonies all across NJ and thousands of kittens born each year, most of whom die from hunger and disease, Final Hope is actively involved in Trap-Neuter-Release programs that are the only effective form of population control and contribute to the well-being of stray cats. We are a small organization with BIG DREAMS that your support and contributions help achieve. We are not a shelter but a few volunteers that came together to do more for our four-legged friends. We are not state-funded. We rely entirely on your support and donations. We hope you will join our efforts to help NJ cats and dogs. Find out how you can help make a difference. |

WHAT WE DO
|
Everyday, cats and dogs across New Jersey are abandoned on busy and dangerous streets and forced to face the hardships of a stray life. Many others are left at animal shelters with just a slim chance of finding a new home.
According to the ASPCA, each year approximately 1.5 million shelter animals are euthanized (670,000 dogs and 860,000 cats). Final Hope is an animal rescue organization with a mission to provide help to New Jersey’s abandoned and neglected cats and dogs. To do that, our operations focus on three important programs: Cat Rescue Programs Utilizing our foster homes and volunteer network, Final Hope provides temporary boarding, socialization, and veterinary care to the abandoned cats, with a final mission to find them permanent homes with loving, caring, and responsible owners. Learn more by following links below: TNR Programs We strive to improve the lives of outdoor cats by advocating Trap-Neuter-Release as the humane and effective way for feral cat population control. Many of our feral/semi-feral cats who could not be returned due to unsafe conditions have been welcomed into our rescue. FeLv+ Rescues (Feline Leukemia Virus) Final Hope is one of the few animal rescues that welcome FeLV+ cats. FeLv is an infectious disease among cats that impairs a cat's immune system and causes certain types of cancers. Since FeLv+ cats cannot live among non-infected cats, they are often euthanized. We currently have 7 FeLv+ cats and provide a separate space for them to flourish and live out their lives. |
